While we were away in Europe my fabulous family took care of our girls.
Livia was possibly more excited than I was about our respective vacations: she told everyone she met that she was going to get to stay with her grandparents for two whole weeks!
They did all sorts of fun things, including a bubble bath party with their Aunt Emily and Uncle David.

Liv even got to sleep in a sleep mask one night! She also got to sleep in the queen-sized guest bed, which was pretty dang exciting for a girl who's still stuck in a toddler bed.
They also went to the L.A. science museum on their way to pick us up from LAX
Reunited at last! My parents treated us to some good ol' American food, and we enjoyed catching up with everyone!
Livia and Jane had an amazing time, and for several weeks afterward every time we got in the car Jane would ask if we were going back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so nice to know that while we were gone they were well taken care of and so, so happy.
